According to the forecast from N1 meteorologist Tea Blažević, Thursday is bringing bright skies along the Adriatic, while inland areas are cloudier with fog in places and some patchy drizzle. Roads are wet and slippery in parts of the country, so drivers are being urged to take extra care. Wind restrictions are also in place for certain vehicles on coastal routes.

The rest of Thursday will remain windy, especially beneath the Velebit mountain range, but sunny spells should develop in the afternoon. Gorska Hrvatska is expected to stay largely overcast. Friday will follow a similar pattern: a cloudy morning, a sunnier afternoon, and then increasing cloud from the southwest towards evening. There is a chance of light rain over the open sea and on the islands, most likely overnight. The wind is expected to ease slightly by Friday afternoon.

Looking ahead to the weekend, only a little rain is expected. On Saturday, any showers are more likely in northern and central parts of the country, while Sunday could see a few drops in Dalmatia. Most of the mainland should stay dry, apart from the chance of light rain in the mountains. Mornings will be chilly inland, and frost is possible.

Next week looks more unsettled, with heavier rain likely, especially in the second half of the week. It may be worth keeping an umbrella handy if you're planning any outdoor activities. Keep an eye on the forecast for updates, and drive carefully if you're on the roads over the next few days.
