The Marin Čilić Foundation has opened a call for Croatian primary and secondary schools to apply for support in equipping STEM laboratories. Partnering with Procter & Gamble and Lidl Hrvatska, the foundation has secured a fund of at least €25,000, with applications accepted until 9 November 2026.

The initiative aims to improve conditions for hands-on learning, giving pupils more opportunities for experiments, programming, robotics and project work. Special attention will be given to schools with talented pupils in less developed parts of Croatia, where access to modern equipment can open additional doors for learning and development.

“We believe every child deserves the chance to develop their knowledge, curiosity and talents, regardless of their circumstances. By investing in STEM labs, we want to create conditions where pupils can learn through practical work, explore their interests and build skills,” said Marin Čilić. He encouraged schools to recognise the opportunity and apply for projects that would improve educational conditions for their pupils.

Projects can cover chemistry, biology, physics, informatics, technical culture, robotics and interdisciplinary STEM teaching. Alongside the school call, citizens can also contribute through the “Opremimo budućnost” campaign. From 12 October to 1 November 2026, for every participating Procter & Gamble product purchased at Lidl Croatia, P&G will donate €0.25 to the Marin Čilić Foundation, linking public support for education with new opportunities for pupils nationwide.

This year, the Marin Čilić Foundation marks ten years of operation. With support from donors and partners, it has so far awarded 205 scholarships, built seven multifunctional sports courts and renovated seven laboratories. The foundation continues to invest in education and the development of young talents across Croatia.
