Zagreb police conducted targeted checks on car meet gatherings in the western part of the city over the Halloween weekend, recording several traffic violations.

On the night of Friday, October 30, to Saturday, October 31, officers monitored parking lots near shopping centres in Črnomerec and along Ljubljanska Avenue, where around 20 car enthusiasts had gathered. According to a statement from the Zagreb Police Department, police presence helped prevent potential unlawful behaviour and disruptions to residents.

Officers inspected 48 vehicles and found five violations outside the parking area: one driver under the influence of alcohol, one driving without a valid licence, one improper lane change, one failure to yield to a pedestrian, and one person not carrying an identity card.

The following night, police returned to the same locations but found no car meet gathering. However, during general traffic enforcement outside the parking area, they recorded three further violations, including driving without headlights and missing vehicle registration.

Police said they will continue to monitor known gathering spots across Zagreb, with the aim of enforcing traffic regulations, improving driving culture, and ensuring public order, as noise from such meet-ups often disturbs local residents.
